At E3 fighting game fans and anime fans got huge news that Bandai had shared. Bandai has announced Dragon Ball Fighterz. A fighting game that features Dragon Ball Z characters. The game is being developed by Arc System Works. The same team that made the Guilty Gear and Blazblue series.
Already when Dragon Ball Fighterz was announced there was already talking going around saying Marvel vs Capcom Infinite against Dragon Ball Fighterz despite Dragon Ball Fighterz being released in early 2018.
Now there wasn’t so much talk about the two games but with the recent news of Bandi announcing that the beta of Dragon Ball Fighterz would move to September 16-18. The beta ends the day before Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is released worldwide. This stirs up the two fighting games going against each other. Now granted Dragon Ball Fighterz will only be a beta but if the numbers is closer or maybe half of the sales of Marvel Infinite that will tell you something.
Dragon Ball Fighterz wants to be competitive and Bandi sees Marvel vs. Capcom
Infinite as it’s competition.
Is it possible that Dragon Ball Fighterz can outsell Marvel vs Capcom Infinite? There’s a possibility because Marvel is more popular in America than Japan. You see more American people play Marvel. Now for Dragon Ball Fighterz it's developed by Atlus the same people that made BlazBlue and Guilty Gear. People in America like these two games but you see more people in Japan play it and they are more dominate in those two games. Dragon Ball Z is a popular anime in both America and Japan and having it as a 2D fighting game made by Atlus and play like Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the best of both worlds. So Capcom better watch out.
