Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix 6/6 Kingdom Hearts Re Coded Cinematics Review

“Everything is digital”

The last game of the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and it ends with the Cinematics of Kingdom Hearts Re Coded. It's the remake of the original Kingdom Hearts Coded. Kingdom Hearts Re Coded was released for the Nintendo DS on January 11, 2011.
Kingdom Hearts Re Coded is now just a cinematic movie. The game takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts II. The game starts off with Jiminy Cricket going through his journal talking about the events of Kingdom Hearts I and II. He comes across a writing saying “Thank Namine” but he also comes across a message in his journal that he didn’t write saying “Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it.” Jiminy comes to King Mickey and the gang to show the message. To solve it they digitized the journal but as they do that they see bugs going through the journal. To solve the problem they make a digitized Sora from the journal to go out on a digital journey to find out the meaning of the message.

The story kind of reminds a little bit of Chain of Memories because this new Sora doesn’t know anything that’s going on and comes across Disney characters he doesn’t remember meeting. More of the story starts to develop as it progresses but at times it does get a little confusing.
Kingdom Hearts Re Coded does share a special message at the end of the game but I don’t want to spoil it and there’s also a secret ending that sets the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance.
People make the argument that Recoded might be the least important and less fun but some people do and there’s nothing wrong with that but I can also see why Square Enix made this game just cinematics.

In the end I think Kingdom Hearts Re Coded is a decent cinematic game. I really like the ending they showed and the secret ending does get you ready for the next Kingdom Hearts game. Kingdom Hearts Re Coded receives a 7 out of 10.
